The brace isn't quite straight, but it is straight enough to support the door properly. Personally, I don't see how it could be totally straightened without totally replacing the thing. When he was done I asked what I could do to keep out the rain, and he explained the weather stripping. I asked him to do it for me, since he was here, and he did.
